As the holidays approach, Wacker Neuson’s union representatives from the USW United Steelworkers Local 2-36, spread holiday cheer in the best way possible - by giving. For the past several years employees and union representatives have taken time out of their busy schedules to provide support to the Eisenhower Center.
Wacker Neuson hosted its fourth annual dealer summit in early October. Over 160 people representing over 75 contracted dealerships from the U.S. and Canada participated in the two day event. The summit took place at Wacker Neuson’s Wisconsin corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility and included business seminars, hands-on equipment demonstrations, tours of the new skid steer production line and networking opportunities.
Wacker Neuson’s annual Trowel Challenge® competition will be held for the eighth year at the company’s World of Concrete (WOC) booth, February 2-5, 2016, Las Vegas, NV. The competition has become a main attraction of the concrete show and draws hundreds of competitors and thousands of spectators every year. For 2016, the course has been reconfigured to show-off operators’ skills for precision finishing as well as speed. “The intent of the trowel challenge has always been to test the operator’s troweling skills,” said Matt Basky, concrete product solution specialists for Wacker Neuson. “This year we have reworked the course to slow the speeds down, but emphasize precision finishing skills using an eight foot mechanical steer ride on trowel,” said Basky.
Wacker Neuson’s RTxSC3 infrared remote control roller with a new third receiving eye has been awarded Rental magazine’s 2015 Editor’s Choice Award. Each year, editors from the national publication and ForConstructionPros,com website select products that garner the most interest, including audience engagement online, from end users and rental professionals. According to the publication, winners are also selected for meeting a number of other criteria including innovation, versatility and profit potential.
Wacker Neuson is introducing its first telehandler to the North American market. The TH522 is a unique ground-engaging telehandler that offers a versatile three machine in one concept. The TH522 is designed to be used with ground-engaging attachments and can work like (1) a wheel loader to dig and carry, (2) a skid steer with a compact footprint capable of using a multitude of attachments, and (3) a telehandler with a lift height of 16-feet, 7-inches and operating capacity of 4,100 pounds.
